Insect Combat Kit FAQSUpdated a year ago

Could this bundle replace my exterminator?

We feel confident that, if you're dealing with the Target Insects listed on this page, you can call your exterminator up and let them know you won't be needing their services anymore.

Along with the detailed instructions in your User Guides and product inserts, Dr Killigan's Customer Experience team is available to help guide you through your all-natural approach to Pest Elimination!

Is this safer than what my exterminator uses?

Dr. Killigan uses only the safest ingredients - many of which can be found in most pantries across the USA. All of our products are classified as Minimum-Risk Pest Products, meaning they contain ingredients that are recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to "pose little to no risk to human health and the environment.”

Most pest control companies use chemicals and pesticides known to be harsh and harmful to humans, not fit for consumption, and have a negative impact on the environment.

So the answer is a resounding YES! The products included in this bundle are much safer than what your standard exterminator would use. They are naturally non-toxic, and harmless when used as directed around food, pets and children.

Does Six Feet Under work as a repellent?

Six Feet Under is a great two-edged sword against bugs: it kills on contact, and keeps unwanted critters away for up to 30 days!

To kill on contact, use the spray function to aim and shoot from up to several feet away.

To prevent keep bugs away from a particular area, use the mist function on porous surfaces to repel bugs for up to 30 days. We recommend targeting areas where insects may be entering your home, such as around baseboards, door and window frames, and in pantry cracks and crevices.

Six Feet Under is NOT recommended for use on skin.

How do I use the Insect Buster Bulb Duster?

The Insect Buster Bulb Duster comes in a ready-to-assemble kit.

The kit includes:

  • Bulb
  • Applicator tubes: one flexible and one brass
  • Funnel
  • Steel ball

For optimal application, insert the steel ball into the bulb, along with the powder. This acts to break up any clumps that form.

The two applicator tubes are designed to help reach the varying crevices that are all around your home, ensuring you can get even the most difficult-to-reach spots.

When you're ready to use the Insect Buster Bulb Duster, use the funnel to add the insect powder of your choice. We recommend our Dust to Dust for an all-natural approach. Do not fill more than three-quarters full.

The best way to use the Duster is like using a can of spray paint: shake, aim and spray. When you shake the bulb, the steel ball inside helps to break up any clumps, so that the subsequent spray, or squeeze of the bulb, releases a puff of powder in the direction you're aiming in.

What types of bugs will The Fly Inn catch?

Did you know that there are over 16,000 types of flying insects, in North America alone? That's a lot! And fortunately for us, most of them are what we call Phototactic. That means that they're attracted to light. Some of the more common ones you would find in your home are the housefly, fruit fly, gnat, garbage fly, blow fly and drain fly.

The Fly Inn is a simple mechanism designed to trap insects that are drawn to the light streaming in through our home's windows. So, in short, the Fly Inn will catch anything that flies into it, as it's sitting quietly on your window.

Does Sweet Surrender work better than apple cider vinegar?

Yes, it does!

Dr. Killigan performed extensive testing for over a year on this particular product. He and his team found that Sweet Surrender yields catch-rates of up to 10 times those of apple cider vinegar, which is most commonly used to attract fruit flies.

This effectiveness can be attributed to several factors. Our unique compound has a more intense odor, the fruity components of red wine, perfect acidity levels, and residual sugars from the fermentation process.

It is also engineered to have a fragile surface tension, which means that the bugs aren't able to alight on the surface of the liquid, and are immediately trapped inside.

How long do the Moth Traps last?

Unopened, Dr Killigan's traps are designed to maintain full potency for three years from the date of manufacture, which is printed on the inside of the box lid.

Once opened, the moth traps are designed to remain effective for about three months.

Having said that, if you notice that the traps have filled up or if there seems to be an increase in moth activity, it may be time for an early replacement. The frequency of replacing the traps can vary based on the severity of your moth infestation; more significant issues may necessitate quicker replacements.

Regularly inspecting the traps will assist in managing and controlling moth populations effectively.
